Jana Sena Party president and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has urged party cadres to actively participate in the cyclone relief and rescue operations being undertaken by the government.

He said Cyclone Arnab was severely affecting the coastal districts and heavy rain was likely to continue even after the storm crossed the coast, according to meteorological assessments.

In view of the adverse weather forecast, the government was taking various measures to minimise damage in the affected areas, with a special focus on evacuating people from low-lying areas to relief camps.

Instructions had been issued to ensure the supply of food, milk and other essential items to those in need, he said, calling upon Jana Sena Party cadres to extend all possible assistance to the affected people and help restore normalcy.
