U2 have reassured fans at home that they will be announcing Irish shows as they unveiled UK and European dates for their upcoming tour, Carnaval de Luz Presents: The Greatest Show on Earth.

The 2027 European leg of the tour will begin in Stockholm on 26 April with support from Wolf Alice.

The tour will then visit, in order, Paris, Lisbon, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, and Milan across May, June, and July 2027, "with dates for Spain to be announced soon".

The band have also added additional dates for Mexico City, São Paulo, and Buenos Aires in February and March 2027 after the first tranche of shows sold out.

2027 dates for North America will be announced in the coming weeks.

A number of presales, which begin next Monday, are available, with more details at U2.com.

After celebrating their 50th anniversary with special performances in Dublin last month, U2 have promised fans that homecoming shows are very much at the forefront of their minds as they look ahead to 2028.

"We can't say too much about the next leg of The Greatest Show on Earth - we're still figuring it out - but what we can say is, we'll be wrapping it up in Ireland," said guitarist The Edge.

"There's nowhere else we'd want to be for that party."

U2's new album, Carnaval de Luz, will be released on Friday, 13 November.
