Sir, – I was saddened to read that the Silk Road Cafe is closing permanently. It is one of the most unique museum cafes in the world, a great value for Dublin museum-goers and with its Middle Eastern cuisine it epitomises the ethos of the wonderful Chester Beatty museum. Sir, – A visit to the Chester Beatty library, is not complete, without a visit to the Silk Road Cafe for coffee and baklava treats. Surely a better solution to security issues could have been sorted – the closing of the cafe, with the loss of 40 jobs, is a loss for all the visitors as well. – Yours, etc,
