The countdown is on for the Nevo EV Show 2026, and for many attendees one of the biggest attractions is the opportunity to see the latest cars in the metal, often long before they become a familiar sight on Irish roads.

This year will be no different, with Irish launches to cover all motoring needs and budgets, from affordable new electric city cars to family SUVs, luxury models, performance EVs and even an electric pickup among the first confirmed newcomers.

With the countdown under way, here’s a selection of the new cars making their Irish debuts at the Nevo Show, with even more debuts expected to be confirmed before the doors open at the RDS.

Dacia Spring

New generation Dacia Spring, arriving in Ireland in July 2027

The Dacia Spring is back, but this time it is essentially an entirely new car. The second-generation Spring represents an important step in Dacia’s growing electric ambitions and retains the straightforward, affordable approach that made the original interesting, while addressing many of the first generation’s shortcomings.

The new Spring is now produced in Europe and sits on a new platform, with Dacia again concentrating on keeping weight, complexity and cost under control. The latest model uses a 27.5kWh battery, offers around 250km of WLTP range and retains the compact dimensions that make it ideally suited to urban driving. For Irish buyers interested in getting into a new EV at the more affordable end of the market, this could be one of the most interesting cars at the show.

BYD Dolphin G DM-i

BYD Dolphin G plug-in hybrid

BYD Dolphin G plug-in hybrid

BYD has become one of the fastest-growing automotive names in Ireland, and its latest Dolphin G takes the brand into another important part of the market. Unlike the familiar all-electric Dolphin, the new Dolphin G uses BYD’s DM-i plug-in hybrid technology. That means meaningful electric-only driving for everyday journeys combined with the flexibility of a petrol engine for longer trips.

BYD says the compact hatchback can offer a combined driving range of more than 1,000km, while retaining the practicality and accessible positioning that have become key ingredients in the Dolphin family. It will also demonstrate that the transition to electrified motoring doesn’t necessarily mean one solution for everyone.

Volvo EX60

The new electric Volvo EX60

The new electric Volvo EX60

There is considerable interest surrounding the Volvo EX60, and for good reason. Positioned in one of the most important areas of the premium SUV market, the fully electric EX60 arrives with new technology and some seriously impressive numbers. Volvo Ireland lists three power-train options, with ranges stretching from 611km in the rear-wheel-drive P6 to as much as 810km in the P12 AWD.

An 800-volt electrical system also brings extremely rapid charging, while the familiar Volvo emphasis on safety, comfort and understated Scandinavian design remains. With pricing starting from €66,695 in Ireland, the EX60 could become one of Volvo’s most significant electric cars yet.

Lexus TZ

Lexus TZ

Lexus TZ

Another model that should attract plenty of attention is the new Lexus TZ. This is a large, fully electric premium SUV with three rows and seating for six, moving Lexus into a part of the electric market it hasn’t previously occupied. The interior is particularly interesting, with Lexus describing its new approach as a “Driving Lounge”. The idea is to use the inherent quietness and smoothness of an EV to create a genuinely relaxing environment for everyone on-board, including adults sitting in the third row. Combine that with the refinement, build quality and distinctive design traditionally associated with Lexus and the TZ promises to be a fascinating addition to the show.

DS No7

DS No7

DS No7

French luxury will also be represented by the new DS No7, the replacement for the familiar DS 7 and an important new model for DS Automobiles. Available with both electric and hybrid power trains, the No7 mixes the bold styling and highly detailed interiors we have come to expect from DS with the latest driver assistance and infotainment technology. The fully electric No7 E-Tense Long Range is capable of up to 740km on the WLTP cycle, giving it genuine long-distance credentials to go with its premium positioning.

Skoda Peaq

Skoda Peaq

Skoda Peaq

If you have a large family and have been waiting for more choice among seven-seat electric SUVs, the Skoda Peaq deserves a close look. At 4.87m long, it is the largest SUV Skoda has produced and effectively brings the space and practicality associated with the Kodiaq into the electric era. Irish pricing starts from €54,995, while different battery and power-train options allow buyers to prioritise affordability or range. The Peaq 90, for example, uses a 91kWh battery and offers up to 637km of range. As ever with Skoda, practicality is likely to be one of its biggest attractions.

Nissan Pixo

Nissan Pixo

Nissan is returning to the smallest end of the European car market with the new Pixo, and this little EV could be one of the surprise stars of the show. The Pixo is a compact A-segment electric city car offering up to 259km of WLTP range and 50kW DC rapid charging. More importantly, it represents Nissan re-entering a market for small, accessible cars at a time when affordable electric motoring is becoming increasingly important. Visitors will be among the first in Ireland to get a proper close-up look.

Cupra Raval

Cupra Raval

We have been hearing about the Cupra Raval for some time, but the production car is finally here. At just over 4m long, it brings Cupra’s sporting personality into the increasingly competitive compact EV sector. Different versions will offer different combinations of performance and range, with the longer-range models capable of around 440km, while the range-topping 226hp Raval VZ adds a more serious performance flavour. It’s compact, distinctive and aimed at buyers who want their small EV to have a little personality.

BMW iX5 and i3

BMW i3

BMW will bring two particularly important newcomers to Dublin. The new i3 is no longer the quirky carbon-bodied hatchback many will remember. Instead, the name now belongs to the first fully electric BMW 3 Series and the second production model developed around BMW’s Neue Klasse technology. For Ireland, the i3 will initially be available as the i3 40 xDrive and i3 50 xDrive, with BMW quoting up to 912km WLTP range for the latter and charging at up to 400kW. It brings the Neue Klasse technology first introduced with the iX3 right into the heart of BMW’s range.

BMW iX5

Alongside it will be the larger new BMW iX5. This takes BMW’s electric SUV range further upmarket, with the iX5 60 xDrive offering preliminary WLTP range figures of between 645km and 845km. Seeing these two cars together should provide a fascinating look at where the next generation of BMW electric models is heading.

Mazda CX-6e

Mazda CX-6e

Mazda’s electric range continues to expand rapidly. Following the Mazda6e, the new CX-6e takes the same broader collaborative approach into the SUV market. Developed with Changan Automobile, the CX-6e combines Mazda’s own design philosophy and European-focused driving dynamics with a new generation of electric and intelligent technology. Voice and gesture recognition, advanced assistance systems and available digital side mirrors highlight just how different this new generation of Mazda EVs will be.

Porsche Cayenne Electric

Porsche Cayenne

Few names demonstrate how far electric cars have progressed quite like Porsche, and the arrival of an electric Cayenne is another significant milestone. The Cayenne Electric sits alongside combustion and hybrid Cayenne models rather than immediately replacing them but introduces an entirely new level of electric performance to Porsche’s large SUV. Three electric derivatives are offered − Cayenne Electric, Cayenne S Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric − all with electric all-wheel drive. Even the regular Cayenne Electric can accelerate from 0–100km/h in just 4.8 seconds.

Hyundai Ioniq 3 and Staria Electric

Huyundai Ioniq3

Hyundai will have two very different electric newcomers to explore. The Ioniq 3 could ultimately prove more significant in sales terms, bringing Hyundai’s dedicated Ioniq thinking into a compact hatchback designed specifically with European customers in mind. Two battery choices are offered, with the long-range version targeting up to 496km WLTP. Despite its compact dimensions, Hyundai is promising genuine five-seat accommodation and a 441-litre luggage capacity, while DC charging from 10 to 80 per cent takes around 29 minutes.

Hyundai Staria

At almost the opposite end of the spectrum sits the Staria Electric. Hyundai’s futuristic MPV gains an 84kWh battery and 160kW electric motor while retaining the huge interior space that makes the Staria so distinctive. For large families, shuttle operators or anyone who simply needs serious passenger space, it demonstrates just how broadly the EV market is now expanding.

Leapmotor B03X

Leapmotor B03X

Leapmotor will once again have a big presence at Nevo, and the B03X gives visitors another opportunity to see just how quickly the brand’s range is developing. Described as a smart urban crossover, the B03X has been developed from the outset as a global model and is designed to bring much of Leapmotor’s technology into a smaller, more accessible package. With European orders already opening during the summer, it is another model that could significantly broaden the company’s appeal.

Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric

Renault Twingo

There are few small cars with the character of the original Renault Twingo, and Renault has very deliberately tapped into that heritage with the new Twingo E-Tech Electric. Bright, compact and full of familiar design references, the new Twingo is designed to make electric motoring affordable and genuinely useful in the city. It also offers technology normally associated with larger cars, including Google-based infotainment, one-pedal driving and, depending on specification, bidirectional charging capability. This should be one of the most instantly recognisable newcomers at the show.

KGM Musso EV

KGM Musso EV

Finally, something completely different. The KGM Musso EV brings full electric power to the pickup market and demonstrates that battery power is no longer confined to hatchbacks and SUVs. The Musso EV uses an 80.6kWh LFP battery and is offered in both two-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive forms. The 2WD model offers up to 419km of range, while practical features include a 500kg payload, vehicle-to-load capability and a 1.5-tonne towing limit. For visitors who need a vehicle for work as well as everyday driving, it will be well worth investigating.

And there is much more to come

These cars are only the beginning. With the Nevo EV Show still several weeks away, more new-model announcements and first appearances are expected as the final line-up takes shape. Alongside these newcomers, each participating manufacturer will showcase a wider selection of its current electric and electrified range, making the show an opportunity to compare cars from across the market under one roof.

Visitors will also be able to see selected models in action in the ESB Live Demo Area, where Derek Reilly will once again take a closer look at the technology, design, practicality and performance behind some of the most interesting new vehicles at the show. The Live Demo programme provides a different experience to the static manufacturer stands, allowing visitors to see and learn more about selected cars in action across both days.

The Nevo EV Show takes place at RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin, on Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th.

Whether you are already driving electric, considering making the switch or simply want to see what the next generation of cars looks like, this year’s show is shaping up to offer one of the broadest selections of new electric and electrified vehicles yet.

Sign up at Nevo.ie and follow Nevo across its social media channels to keep up to date with the latest show news, vehicle reveals and further launches as they are announced in the run-up to November. With plenty more still to be confirmed, this is only the first look at what’s coming.
