Sir, – The querying of the legality of Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill‘s HSE recruitment restrictions by the Labour Party is a huge relief and feels like the first ounce of common sense seen.
The lack of regard the Minister is showing for patient safety with her authoritarian diktat is terrifying, and should have every voter in the land up in arms. Unfilled clinical positions will result in poorer patient care and outcomes, as well as an increase in emigration of newly qualified healthcare professionals. – Yours, etc,
