Sir, – It was curious that Taoiseach Micheál Martin in the Dáil accused Sinn Féin of siding with the Nazis in the second World War.
He should recall that the founder of his own Fianna Fáil party, Éamon de Valera, as taoiseach personally called on the German legation in Dublin in 1945 to express his condolences on the death of Adolf Hitler.
