A man is due in court charged in connection with an assault in which a doctor in his 50s was seriously injured.
The incident occurred at a HSE facility on Usher's Island, Dublin 8, yesterday morning.
Gardaí from Kevin Street station and the Armed Support Unit attended the scene.
The doctor received medical attention from gardaí before being taken to St James's Hospital.
A man in his 60s, who was arrested at the scene, is due before Dublin District Court this morning.
