Some customers have taken to social media to complain about the problem

Some Revolut customers in Ireland are reporting issuing logging into the online banking app.

Users said they have been logged out of the service when they try to access it and are encountering difficulties when they input their sign-in details.

This afternoon, customers have taken to social media to complain about the problem.

Revolut has been contacted for comment.

According to the system status page on Revolut's website, sign-in services are currently "partially unavailable".

Last week, Revolut services were disrupted for several hours due to a problem with Google's cloud services.

It came off the back of two data breaches at the company.

Just over a month ago, on 14 September, Revolut told some of its customers that copies of their passports and driving licences, along with their dates of birth, home addresses, email addresses and phone numbers, were accessed by criminals.

The company has not said how many people were affected by the breach, or where they live.

Ten days later, Revolut customers in Ireland were informed they were among those impacted by a data breach at a third-party provider.

DriveWealth, a US broker that carries out US stock trades for Revolut customers, said a security incident affecting its systems involved unauthorised access to historical personal data of some DriveWealth customers.
