Gardaí investigating the death of 28-year-old Jack O'Donovan say they are no longer treating it as suspicious.
This follows the completion this morning of a state post-mortem examination on his body.
Preliminary results from that post-mortem examination are understood to indicate that Mr O'Donovan may have died as a result of hypothermia.
The area where his body was found on the golf course in Macroom is no longer being treated as a crime scene.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal to people who were in the area between 2pm on Thursday afternoon and 10am yesterday morning and who may have seen Mr O'Donovan to contact them.
A file on his death will now be compiled by investigating gardaí for the coroner's court.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Macroom Garda Station on (026) 20590, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
