One man was taken to hospital and two people were arrested after a controversial boxing event involving influencers in Co Kilkenny ended abruptly last night following a brawl at the venue.
One man was taken to hospital following an assault and gardaí said two men had been arrested.
Gardai were alerted and arrived at the scene at approximately 9pm.
They said a man in his 30s was assaulted and taken from the scene to St. Luke's Hospital.
Another man in his 20s was arrested and is currently detained at a Garda station in the south east.
Gardai said a teenager was arrested for violent disorder and has since been charged.
He is due to appear in court later today.
This boxing event which was held at the Hub in Cillín Hill was organised by Unhinged Promotions and hosted by social media personality HSTikkyTokky, also known as Harrision Sullivan, who recently featured in Louis Theroux's Netflix documentary Inside the Manosphere.
The event was due to be headlined by a clash between rappers Russ Millions and Kirky.
Videos have been posted online of the scenes of chaos including a fracas between influencer Mo Deen who had appeared on the boxing undercard, and anti-immigration activist, Tommy Robinson.
Robinson is currently on bail awaiting sentencing for two counts of harassment causing fear of violence.
Videos circulating online show security personnel trying to intervene in an altercation in the ring between the two men.
It's understood that violence escalated quickly with reports of chairs and glass being thrown across the room. The event was ultimately abandoned and people were escorted outside the venue.
Speaking on social media afterwards, Mr Deen claimed that an earlier altercation, where he left the ring and appeared to jump towards Robinson, had been scripted.
"I'm not trying to cause problems," he said. "This is like WWE ... I followed the scripts, I'm getting death threats, people trying to kill me - what the hell?
"This is a message to all of Tommy's supporters, I just followed the script that they told me they agreed with. So what's everyone trying to attack me for? ... This is what they told me. Tommy's agreed with it, they've agreed with it. I followed it.
"I don't know what's going on, this whole thing is crazy."
Local Independent Councillor Eugene McGuinness said he had received calls about the chaotic scenes and was sent videos which, at first, he didn't believe were real.
He said he was told it was mayhem.
Before the event this weekend, HSTikkyTokky had told his followers that he was bringing is bringing rappers and online personalities to The Hub in Kilkenny for a boxing event.
On his Instagram feed he said the fight between influencers Mo Deen and Mr UK Kick Official was about "bringing two of the most chaotic names in the UK internet scene" to step into the ring for a "proper scrap."
He said both fighters had pride clout and bragging rights to prove when they go head to head.
