The Democrats are projected to take control of the U.S. House of Representatives, several American news sources say.
CNN, CBS and NBC have all projected control of the House will shift from the Republicans to the Democrats.
The Senate is still too close to call, but Democrats have picked up two key seats from Republicans so far in South Carolina and North Carolina.
The Associated Press only declares which party has won control of the House when one of the parties reaches 218 seats.
During the last elections in 2024 and 2022, the AP called control of the House eight days after Election Day.
