JERUSALEM, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Israel's wartime election appeared deadlocked on Tuesday, exit polls showed, with Gadi Eisenkot's opposition bloc running neck and neck with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's camp, leaving neither side with a clear path to power.

With no clear winner, it will be up to Israeli President Isaac Herzog to decide whether any of the parties can form what he regards as a workable coalition.

With votes trickling in, a pair of exit polls have the rival blocs ​tied 51 to 51, leaving neither with the 61 seats needed for a majority.
